Is knitting a pair of socks on your list of resolutions this year? Join us for a year-long sock knitting adventure, starting with the basics and exploring new techniques each month. Beginning in February, we will meet the first Friday of each month from 10am to 12pm.
You will be able to sign up for the entire year or for individual months depending on your interests and schedule. Check out the list of offerings below:
- January: Sign up, ask questions, and get your supplies together.
- February: Let’s get started! Cast on for a toe up or cuff down sock and measure for an accurate fit.
- March: Heel flap and turn - Learn different ways to reinforce your heel flap and master the turn.
- April: Finishing - Grafting the toe or choosing a stretchy bind off for the cuff.
- May: Short Row Heel
- June: Lace socks and how to adjust for differences in ease.
- July: French Round Toe
- August: Stranded colorwork and managing floats.
- September: Peasant and Afterthought heels
- October: Cables and slipped stitches - adjusting for ease.
- November: Star Toe
- December: Strut your Socks Party!
