Mid Winter Martin Storey Throw Kit August 2023

Inspired by Shetland and Nordic designs,Martin Storey created this Holiday throw made up of 6 patterned squares. It is the perfect project to get one into the Holiday spirit.  Rowan is hosting this pattern release on their website called Rowan Connect.

SIZE: One Size
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 31" x 43"
YARDAGE: 1,719-2,101 total yards
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate-colorwork, picking up stitches, seaming

NEEDLES: Size US 5 / 3.75mm straight or circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Felted Tweed DK  by Rowan  (50% Merino Wool / 25% Rayon / 25% Alpaca; 50g/191yds):

How does it work? 

First you register here for the pattern  (click here)   From there, you will receive an intro email and video from Martin. Once the Knit Along has started, you will receive emails with links to the Rowan Connect platform to obtain the next segments of the pattern.A new square will be released each week from August 17th to September 28th. 

Second There are several versions of the throw, but we have stocked two colorways.

Please select 5 skeins in the main color (either Rage or Seasalter) then select 4 skeins of the background (either Alabaster or Clay)  

** It is possible to make this into a pillow. If so, you will need 3 balls of the MC and one ball of all of the CC’s if you are making the multicolored option and likely 2 balls of the cc’s if you are making the two color options.
